Konstantin, a songwriter and master guitarist, runs away from numerous problems to the nature reserve Mikhailovskoye. Kostantin has long lost any way of income and has almost given up hope to be heard, living by sheer inertia and often drawing on alcohol. The incredible story of how the Beatles emerged from post war Liverpool and turned music upon its head with their changes from skiffle to rock and roll and the creation of the Mersey Beat sound. A young girl with a special gift struggles to overcome a mob boss' influence over her family in this dark Dust Bowl fantasy, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid." Laura Wagner has a promising career as a young auctioneer, but her life looks set to fall apart when she's the victim of a rape. The rapist is a well-known and respected gallery owner, and the assault takes place after a cocktail party. Laura knows it's unlikely she'll be believed if she files a complaint. But that same night the gallery owner's wife is murdered at home, and the husband is a suspect. His alibi is that he was raping Laura.
